Are you ready to join the Wahoos competitive team?

The Wiesbaden Wahoos welcomes swimmers of all experience levels who are ready to grow in a fun, supportive, and competitive environment. Whether your swimmer is transitioning from swim lessons or has previous competitive experience, contact us to find out more about opportunities to join the team.

Try-Outs: Tryouts are held each summer, typically in July and August, before the start of the competitive season. Swimmers should be comfortable in deep water and able to demonstrate basic competitive swimming skills. During the evaluation, swimmers will be asked to:

• Swim 25 meters of all four strokes

• Dive from the end of the pool

Coaches evaluate each swimmer's technique, water confidence, and overall readiness when determining team placement.

Team Placement: Following tryouts, coaches place swimmers into the training group that best matches their current abilities and the team's needs. Because the Wiesbaden Wahoos is limited to approximately 55 competitive swimmers, placement is based on both a swimmer's readiness and available space.

Swimmers who are not yet ready for the competitive team will be placed on a waitlist. As a military community, families PCS throughout the year and team openings do become available. Swimmers placed on the waitlist will be contacted at the coaches discretion.
